Our Story

Our church believes that the Bible is the Word of God, and our focus is to facilitate authentic relationships with our Heavenly Father. We want the whole family from the littles to the bigs to feel right at home here at GLC. We offer nursery on Sundays as well as a dynamic children’s ministry called SPLASH! Kingdom. We want to make an impact in the Panama City area by being the hands and feet of Jesus and meeting the needs of our community as well as helping individuals and families build meaningful relationships with God. We hope you decide to join us and come be a part of our family! We have room for you!

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, and we believe in its authority and in its entirety.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

2 Timothy 3:16

We believe that there is only one true God and that He is the God we serve.

I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.

Isaiah 43:11

We believe Jesus died for our sins because of His powerful love for us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

We believe that Holy Spirit empowers, guides, teaches, and strengthens us. He was sent to us so that we could share the love of God with power and authority.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Acts 2:1-4

We are all called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although we believe that God is the only One who saves, we are to be messengers throughout the land of His goodness and grace.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Mark 16:15

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Mathew 28:19

We understand that we are not the judge nor are we the jury, we are disciples and messengers of the Gospel of Christ.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Mathew 7:12

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

Romans 2:1-4

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:20

We believe that marriage is intended for 1 man and 1 woman.

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Mark 10:6-8

“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Ephesians 5:31-33

Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.

1 Corinthians 7:1-2

Jesus modeled how we are to love people - with compassion and truth.

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Mathew 9:35-36
